Thank goodness my kids are finally at age where I don’t have to police everything they’re watching on TV. I can’t believe some of this stuff is allowed to be played on networks, and when I went to www.tvbydirect.com a while back I couldn’t believe how many networks were specifically targeted towards teens. I guess this is a new demographic that is making people lots of money but sometimes I feel like the sex and cursing on TV shows is really just getting out of hand. Particularly for those aimed at a younger demographic, I don’t really understand why boundaries have to be pushed so far but I’m glad my kids are responsible enough to make their own decisions about what is smart to watch. We have a really good way of communicating in that if they see something bad on TV they ask me about it and we are able to talk about the implications and what is right and what is wrong.
