Dump Cake 02/18/12

Dump Cake — an easy-to-make, delicious cobbler of sorts. Definitely a good choice anytime you need to make a quick dessert. Granted, it’s not the healthiest dessert option, but it is one of the yummiest! If you make this, let me know in the comments below which pie filling you used. I’m thinking blueberry would be awesome.



Dump Cake ingredients. Yes, this is all there is to it — (1) cake mix (2) sticks of butter or margarine and (2) cans of cherry pie filling or any flavor you like.


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. In the prepared dish, layer the cherry pie filling.


Then sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top, covering evenly. Slice the butter up and lay it onto the cake mix.


Bake 45 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven, until browned and bubbly.


Serve with a couple scoops or three of vanilla bean ice cream! Simply delicious and SO easy!
